This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect your information when you use the Chrome Extension and web application (collectively, the "Service").
In this policy, "Account Information" means personal data used to create and maintain your account, such as your email address. "Meeting Content" means audio recordings, transcriptions, and any personal data of meeting participants captured when you use the Service.
We act as a data controller for your Account Information and Service usage data. For Meeting Content, you are the data controller and we act as a data processor, processing such content on your behalf. You are responsible for ensuring you have the necessary permissions and legal basis to record meetings and process the personal data of meeting participants.
By using the Service, you agree to the collection and use of your information as described in this policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

Account Information: Your email address and name when you authenticate with the Service, and social handles you give to us (for example, Telegram).
Audio Recordings: When you use the Chrome Extension to record meetings, we collect the audio and video (upon request and once the feature is enabled) of your meeting from your browser tabs. These recordings may contain personal data of meeting participants. Some jurisdictions require all parties to consent before recording a meeting. Please ensure you have the necessary permissions and consents from all meeting participants before using the Service to record.
Transcriptions: Text transcriptions generated from your audio recordings.
Usage Data: Information about how you interact with the Service, including analytics data.
Technical Data: Device information, browser type, and diagnostic data to help us identify and fix issues.
We do not intentionally collect sensitive personal data such as information about race, ethnicity, religious beliefs, health, or political opinions. If such data is discussed in your meetings, you are the controller of that data and must have a lawful basis to process it.
We use the information we collect to provide and operate the Service, including recording and transcription features; improve the performance, reliability, and user experience of the Service; analyse usage patterns to inform product development; troubleshoot technical issues; and communicate with you about the Service.
For Account Information and usage data we control, we process your personal data on the following legal bases: contract performance (to provide you with the Service), and legitimate interests (to improve our Service, maintain security, and analyse usage). For Meeting Content, you are the data controller and are responsible for establishing the appropriate legal basis for processing.
We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your data. Authentication tokens are stored locally in your browser using secure storage APIs. Recordings and transcriptions are stored in secure cloud infrastructure with encryption in transit and at rest. Access to your data is restricted through access controls that limit data to authorised users. However, no method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee the absolute security of data transmitted to us.
We use trusted third-party services to operate the Service, including cloud infrastructure and hosting providers, analytics services to understand usage patterns, error monitoring tools to identify and resolve technical issues, and AI processing services for transcription. These providers process data on your behalf and are contractually obligated to protect your data.
The Service may contain links to third-party websites or services. Any data you provide to third-party websites or services is subject to their privacy policies, not this one.
We use third-party AI services to transcribe your audio recordings. Your Meeting Content is processed solely to provide the transcription service. We do not use your data to train our own AI models, and we do not authorise third-party AI providers (such as OpenAI, Google, or similar services) to use your personal data or Meeting Content to train their AI models.
We use cookies and similar technologies to enhance your experience. The types of cookies we use include:
You can control cookies through your browser settings. Disabling certain cookies may affect the functionality of the Service.
We do not sell your personal data. We may share your data with service providers who assist us in operating the Service (under contractual data protection obligations), and when required by law or to protect our legal rights.
Your data is primarily processed and stored on servers located in the United States. Where we transfer personal data outside the UK or European Economic Area, we contractually require that appropriate safeguards are in place to protect your data in accordance with applicable data protection law.
Raw audio recordings are automatically deleted after 7 days. Transcriptions are retained until you choose to delete them. Analytics and usage data is retained for up to 26 months. Anonymised or aggregated data that cannot identify you may be retained indefinitely. Account data is retained while your account remains active.
You can delete your account at any time through the Service. When you request account deletion, we will use reasonable efforts to delete your personal data within 30 days, except where retention is required for legal purposes.
In relation to Account Information and usage data we control, you have the right to access your personal data, correct inaccurate data, request deletion of your data, export your data in a portable format, and object to certain processing activities. For Meeting Content (which you control), you can access, download, and delete this content directly through the Service. To exercise your rights, please contact us using the details provided above.
If you have concerns about how we handle your personal data, please contact us first and we will endeavour to resolve your complaint. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. If you are a UK resident, you may contact the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.
The Service is not intended for individuals under the age of 16. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe we have collected data from a child, please contact us immediately.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date. Your continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
